Cyclist Mode
PlayLetics turns The Crew 2 into a cycling simulation. Your power and the road's incline determine your speed.
Your exercise effort powers in-game effects:

Your in-game speed is based on your exercise effort. There are 2 modes:
Cyclist Mode: Your in-game speed is directly based on your cycling speed (e.g., cycling at 20km/h will result in 200km/h in the game).
Gamer Mode: Your exercise effort controls the plane's throttle.
Not at all! In Cyclist Mode, the plane's controls are greatly simplified. Altitude is controlled automatically and one cannot crash.
Sightseer is a companion program included free to make the workout even more interesting. As you explore the world, it automatically identifies points of interest ahead of you like mountains, lakes, and landmarks.
When you reach these locations, it displays a picture and a description, and can even provide an AI voice summary about the point of interest.

Cyclists can use Cyclist Mode, which turns the games into cycling simulations: you move through the game worlds at realistic cycling speeds (or multiples thereof). Terrain incline and your weight are taken into account, so your speed is simulated realistically. Structured workouts and Erg mode are also available for serious training.
Gamers can simply play through the games as usual, with their exercise effort woven directly into the gameplay in real time — the harder you pedal, the stronger and faster your character becomes, or the quicker they heal.
A used non-smart exercise bike paired with an inexpensive cadence sensor gets you started for very little money.
Combine that with a game that doesn't require a powerful PC — The Crew 2, for example, looks great even on older machines.
Very likely, yes. PlayLetics supports the FTMS and FE-C over BLE protocols, and most smart trainers released in recent years use one of them.
Not necessarily. Some of the supported games — The Crew 2, for example — run perfectly fine on weaker machines.
Yes. On Steam you can refund any game within 14 days of purchase as long as you have played it for less than 2 hours — plenty of time to see whether you enjoy it together with PlayLetics.
In addition, many of the supported games regularly get free trial weekends on Steam, so keep an eye out for those.
